Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 April 2026Reading time ~3 min

This Privacy Policy explains how Snipe ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Snipe website, dashboard, APIs, and related services (the "Service"). We respect your privacy and only collect what we need to operate the Service securely.

1Summary

  • We never ask for, collect, or store your private keys, seed phrases, or wallet signing credentials.
  • We collect account information you provide (email, username), technical logs, and public on-chain activity tied to wallets you connect.
  • We use this data to provide the Service, prevent fraud, and improve the product.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

2Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details: email address, username, password hash, and optional profile fields.
  • Deposit details: the wallet addresses you fund from and withdraw to, and the amounts and times of those transfers.
  • Support correspondence: anything you send us through the support window on this site or by email.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical logs: IP address, device and browser type, language, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Diagnostic data: error traces, latency metrics, feature usage.
  • Cookies: see section 6 below.

3How we use your information

We use information to:

  • Operate, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate users and prevent fraud, abuse, or sanctions violations.
  • Process payments and issue refunds.
  • Communicate product updates, security notices, and support responses.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4On-chain data and wallets

We store the deposit addresses we issue to you and the withdrawal addresses you supply, together with the transaction identifiers they produce. Blockchain data is inherently public and is not controlled by us. We never ask for, see, or store private keys or seed phrases — there is nothing in this service that would require one.

5How we share information

We share information only with:

  • Service providers that help us operate (hosting, analytics, email, payments, customer support) under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Law enforcement and regulators where we have a good-faith legal obligation or to protect Snipe, its users, or the public.
  • Successors in a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, or asset sale), subject to the terms of this Policy.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

6Cookies and analytics

We use first-party cookies for session management and a small number of privacy-respecting analytics tools (e.g. self-hosted or aggregated-only providers) to understand how the Service is used. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may not function without them.

7Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Account data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days of account closure unless a longer retention period is required by law.

8Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access controls, and regular security reviews — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you we will notify you as required by law.

9Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete your personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. To exercise these rights, message support from your dashboard — the chat is tied to your account, so we already know who is asking.

10Children

Snipe is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

11International transfers

Snipe operates globally. Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect international transfers.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the dashboard or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
