1Position
We do not knowingly serve accounts used for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion or the proceeds of crime, and we cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities.
2What we normally collect
Opening an account requires an email address and a password. We do not ask for identity documents to open one.
We do hold what the service inevitably produces: deposit and withdrawal amounts, the addresses involved, transaction references, sign-in times and the IP addresses requests arrive from.
3When we ask for more
We may ask you to verify your identity, the source of funds, or your control of an address where activity on the account calls for it. Examples include unusually large payouts, patterns consistent with layering, an address flagged by public analytics, or a legal obligation to check.
Activity on the account may be held while a check is outstanding. We will tell you what we need and why.
4One person, one account
Multiple accounts operated by one person, or by a group acting together, breach these terms. Where we identify them we may consolidate or close them.
5Records
Transaction and verification records are retained for as long as the law requires, including after an account is closed. Our Privacy Policy explains how that data is handled.
